Originally from England, formerly from Michigan; a Yarmouth Port resident since 2000, and an award winning artist at Cape Cod Art Association. My favorite hobbies have always been drawing and painting thus retiring to Cape Cod enabled a long-time desire to paint on a regular basis. Here I have found a painter’s paradise as well as outstanding learning opportunities with recognized art professionals.

I have an affinity with Cape Cod because the similarities in landscape and marine activity evoke so many memories of my birthplace. Painting is a joy and has added another dimension to my life. Working with watercolor or oil, I am in the studio every day. I particularly enjoy the challenge of plein air painting, which necessitates a fast start to speedily obtain essential information.

My inspirations emanate from the natural beauty of Cape Cod where my vibrant oil paintings of sailboats and seascapes reflect my love and fascination of the ocean. It is challenging to capture its many moods and hidden depths. In contrast, I utilize the delicacy of watercolors for lighthouses and house portraits . My paintings do not offer profound statements. They clearly convey the subjects I love to recreate that are abundant on Cape Cod. I have achieved my goal if the viewer finds solace in my work.
